Hello Hedgehogs!
Wow another year finished! This post will take a look back in short of 2023!
Firstly a huge thank you to everyone that has supported me last year. I am grateful for each and every one of you. Thank you for your continued encouragement and for helping me to keep creating and sharing my work with the internet!
Community Meet-Ups!
Last year we had even more community meet-ups!! If you are interested we have another one this Saturday! View the events page to see when upcoming ones are. We aim for the first Saturday of every month.
Thank you to the hedgehog Aiii for capturing this brilliant animated Gif below! This was taken during the 3rd Anniversary Party.
Top Hogs!
The Top Hogs are hedgehogs that have ranked highly in the yearly Coffee Collection scoreboard.
The trophies have been slightly updated and no longer specify the year just "1st, 2nd and 3rd". Yearly might seem too long? What does everyone think, should this be made sooner? Let me know on Twitter/X or Discord!
Congrats to the following hedgehogs! You have helped Chai by serving many hedgehogs in the Cafe! You will recieve a trophy that you can place in your home!
- Pedro66 - 1878
- Gbet - 739
- Chudly - 572
Hedgehog Creek Updates!
Let's take a look back at some of the updates that came in 2023. View all changes on the changelog page.
January 2023: A new "Yearly" scoreboard was added to the score page.
February 2023: Major improvements were made to the shops. A new design layout for shop markets was added. Shops now could hold more items. The Village also got a new sound track, new icons were added to NPCs and the Village map got expanded with new artwork!
March 2023: A new events page was added which translates event times into your local time to make it easier to see when events are next on!
April 2023: Some silly things were added to the world for April Fools! I also asked our Discord community for name ideas for the "Cafe Manager" and "Construction Hedgehog". A poll was soon published onto Twitter and Chai and Flint were the winning names!
October 2023: The world was decorated for Halloween! I also introduced a brand new animation system to the hedgehogs which includes the ability to edit your hedgehog's facial expression, colour and other fun little animations like waving and sitting! Flint and Chai offically got their names that were voted in on a poll.
November 2023:
Minor Ui and new commands got added like /me and /think.
December 2023: The world design changed to a new tile based system! The Village and Cafe were made even bigger! The first ever Winter Festival was added!
It sure has been a busy year with updates!! I hope you have enjoyed the updates!
