It's 2022!

Hello Hedgehogs!

I want to wish everyone a happy 2022! Let's take a look back at some of the progress I made to Hedgehog Creek in 2021. What a journey it has been!

January 2021

• Coins were now added officially to the game.

• You could now earn coins from the Coffee Collection game. February 2021

• A new shop system launched! You could open the shop from the icon in the top right of the screen.

• Daily login bonuses added.

March 2021

• A new front-end website was launched.

• More coin bonuses were added to Coffee Collection. April 2021

• The Village room was redrawn.

• Coffee Collection received basic tap combo bonuses points.

May 2021

• Coffee Collection was updated to 0.4.0 which added a new sound and music system, improved minigame loader, better bonus tap feature and exit prompt button.
• Mr Prickles NPC shop counter is open in the Village.
• The shop system is now activated when you travel to Mr Prickles shop and you click the shop icon. No more using the top right UI icon. This allows for more shopkeepers in the future.
• Slight artwork changes were made to the Village.

July 2021

• A new light turn-based combat Card system was introduced for testing.

• NPC could now be generated in rooms without having to be applied as "furniture" into the rooms.

• The NPC dialogue system now allowed you to receive items from characters.

• A basic friend list system was added.

• A new settings panel was added.

• Text and fonts now render smoother in the world and games. September 2021

• The cafe was renovated with a fresh redraw.

October 2021

• The main rooms were decorated for Halloween and players could unlock spooky new gear.
• NPC dialogue system received an update to allow custom questions such as "Trick or Treat?".

November 2021

• Hedgehog Creek had its 1st birthday. The Cafe was decorated and players could collect limited-time items to celebrate.
• Friends list limit was now increased to 30 friends.
• Improvements were made to the way the hedgehog sprite layers clothes.

December 2021

• Hedgehog Creek got its massive update yet! In this version, I released a major rewrite to the game. The game was now supporting WebGL with a conversion from CreateJS to PixiJS.
• Every user interface component was redesigned and rebuilt.
• New settings panel.
• New chat log system that could scroll.
• Coffee Collection was updated to 0.5 and also rewritten from the ground up.
• A new Hedgehog Creek logo was added.
• New fonts and icons were added or changed.
• The chat bar was now overlayed on the world rather than being under the game box.
