The Screen just Got Bigger

Things just got bigger in this update. The world is no longer just a small box, it's now a dynamic fullscreen window that will scale to fit mobile or desktop screens. This has been a challenge but over the last month during the transition from CreateJS to PixiJS, I have been slowly testing the Ui components to ensure the world scales to fit many screen sizes.

This update also brings some major changes to the website infrastructure.

The changelog below provides a breakdown of updates that were made to different parts of the site.

Website Changes:

• The website front-end has had some major rework and changes. -New login and registration flow.
• An email verification system is now in place. To test the launch of this system you don't need to verify your email straight away. However, in the coming weeks and months, all accounts will need to verify their email address in order to play. The reason for this is to prevent spam, bots and the abuse of fake accounts.
• A new account page has been added. This is still a work in progress. This page is where you will be able to update and toggle information regarding your Hedgehog Creek account.
• To access the account page you can hover or click your username in the navbar.
• To verify your account go to your account page and click the 'Resend Confirm Email' button. New accounts will automatically receive a confirmation email. The account page shows you your username pending status. So you know if it's declined, pending or accepted.
• The account page shows you if your email is verified.
• Redeeming your Patreon rewards is now located on the account page.
• Improved Scores page - You can now see a breakdown of monthly and 'All-Time' scores. 1st, 2nd and 3rd places now have fancy highlighting in the leaderboards. The 'Monthly' board will be reset monthly and the top winners will get coin reward bonuses added to their account automatically. Currently, I am testing this system with the Coffee Collection game, get competing!!! All scores from today have been reset to give everyone a fair chance from now!

Game Changes:

• Dynamic full screen is here. The client will now try to render the HTML5 canvas to suit your screen size. Please do let me know if you encounter any problems with this!
• The Coffee Collection game will potentially fit your screen better than before.
• A new profile board Ui has been added to the top left. The profile board displays information such as your hedgehog name, coins and a profile picture of your current attire! Fancy! :)
• The inventory icon that was previously in the bottom right corner has been removed. Instead, click your hedgehog avatar on the profile board to activate the inventory menu.
• A new hamburger menu icon appears in the top right of the screen. This is how you can interact with the website, game settings and sign out.
• The chat bar and chat log Ui have been redesigned.
• Both chat bar and chat log can be hidden to give you, even more, screen space!
• Keyboard shortcuts have changed functionality slightly. Push the 't' key (which stands for talk) to activate the chat bar. If you want to close the chat bar or chat log you can use the 'esc' key.
• The chat log now notifies you if a player has left, joined the room or disconnected from the game. They must be in the same room as you.
• Fonts and text sizes in the chat log have been improved to dispay nicer on mobile and desktop devices. Here is a screenshot showing you a before and after of the world in fullscreen!

There have been many changes in this build. Please do let me know if you encounter any bugs or issues. I will get them resolved asap.
