Time to Celebrate Winter!

Hey there, hedgehogs!

I can't believe how fast this year has gone! It was a year ago that the home system was released! The homes use a tile-based system to render the main background for each room. I have utilised that same system and made improvements to it, allowing me to use it for the main rooms. I believe this will also help maintain a more consistent world design. By rendering tiles rather than large backgrounds, the web browser doesn't have to download large 2D backgrounds, so you might notice some slight performance improvements there!

This new world system will also enable me to customise the world better around events in the future! The Village and Cafe both have a brand new look!

Please let me know what you think! If the feedback is positive, I plan to work on the Cave in the new year!

❄️ It's SNOWING! You may remember that last year, some of the hedgehog characters were hinting at there being snow. The world is now themed for winter and I have added snow particles! I am calling this latest event the Winter Festival! If your device finds the snow particles a bit too much, you can disable them in the settings. I'm hoping next year to improve the weather system to include rain effects and other seasons. We will see!!
