0.5.0 - Happy Halloween
Hello Hedgehogs! Here comes a load of bug fixes!!! Thank you to everyone who has been reporting bugs!
Hey there Hedgehogs,
Today, I am excited to announce another major version update, v0.5.0-experimental! This update brings a brand-new animation system for the hedgehogs, along with numerous bug fixes and improvements.
I've been working on hedgehog animations for a long time now, and I'm thrilled to finally introduce them to the world for everyone to try out! There is also a new facial expression feature that allows you to select various expressions from the hotbar.
Keyboard Short Cuts!
If you didn't know there are a few keyboard shortcuts and some brand new ones!
- "w" - Makes your hedgehog wave. (new)
- "s" - Makes your hedgehog sit. (new)
- "t" - Activates the chat bar.
- "/" - Activatse the chat bar and fills it with a forward slash.
- "esc" - Closes the chat bar and chat log.
This update also introduced the ability to customise your hedgehog's colour! This feature is for Patreon Supporter Tiers 2 and 3. Once unlocked, you will find that you have two options in the new "Customisation Menu". These two options will allow you to change the colour of the outer spines and base. This is the first time I've added an exclusive feature for Patreons. Let me know what you think as I find new ways to monetise Hedgehog Creek!
I'll be adding more variety in the future. I hope you like the new customisation options! I've also redesigned the inventory UI with better support on mobile.
The world has also been decorated for Halloween! Make sure to check out Mr Prickles and Hazel's shops to get access to new items!
Finally Flint and Chai have replaced the "Construction Hedgehog and Cafe Manager". Thank you to those who suggested and voted for these names!

A few days ago I released another minor update to the accounts settings page. You can toggle newsletters. I soon plan to start sending out newsletters (Hedgehog Mail)! Make sure you have it enabled! :)
