Cave, Cards and Light Update! - 0.2.0

Hello Hedgehogs

Experimental version 0.2.0 is now here! This update contains many new features such as the reworked Combat Card System, Energy System, Day-Night Cycle, Lighting System and other quality of life improvements.

Can you believe it was only in July 2021 when the first combat card system was added? The new reworked system is still a small demo however you can now collect and keep the cards that you find, adjust your card deck and a new energy system. Every time you battle an enemy you may lose energy. When your energy is depleted you will need to recharge and relax in the Cafe room. There are cards hidden around the world, you'll need to have 6 cards before you start a battle with the creatures in the cave.

This will brighten up your day (sorry about the bad pun). A day-night cycle has been added! A full day is about 24 minutes. To try it you will need to go into the game settings and enable the "Lighting" feature. The lighting system is purely cosmetic but it does add a cool atmosphere to the world. It's worth knowing that you may see a performance decrease on some devices while using this feature.

The cave has now been expanded and is the biggest room in Hedgehog Creek to date! Make sure to get exploring, it's kinda scary down there! You might also find some unexpected creatures! Don't forget to also talk to the Construction Hedgehog!

Let's talk Discord! I've had many messages to add more channels to the Discord server. I want to ensure I can offer a safe and friendly space outside of the Hedgehog Creek world. A new bot called "HedgeBot" has been added to the server. In your hedgehog account settings, you will find that you can connect your hedgehog to Discord. The "HedgeBot" should message you to say that your account has been verified when you start the process. If not send a message to the bot and say "verify".

The requirements to get access to the "Verified" role on the Hedgehog Creek Discord Server are:

• A verified email.
• An approved username.
• No mutes or bans.

All "Not Verified" users on the Discord server will not be able to see the chat channels and their usernames will be "----". Once verified you will gain access and your hedgehog name will be your Discord nickname.

A new Community page has been added. Thank you to all the hedgehogs that have been sending in their creative work! If you want to see your artwork featured please send it over to me on any platform. It must be related to Hedgehog Creek.

You can now help support me on PayPal. I am now testing a prepaid option with Paypal. You can now get access to Tier 1 for 3, 6 and 12 months.
